this man is a man of honor. one who knows how to laugh. one who can turn my world around with a hug. a man who i look up to. a man who is willing to work. a man who always has callused hands. a man who taught me how to dance. a man who isn't afraid to sing. one who isn't afraid of anything. one who will say anything.a man that knows his Bible. a man that can make a whole room laugh. one who risks his life daily. 


i can't wait till this man walks me down the aisle, gives me away but won't ever fully let go. 
i can't wait to dance with you as you swing me around on your toes.

Well.. Christmas is JUST around the corner. and yes.. Jesus is the REASON for the season. Guess what? It's BIRTHDAY time!! He was born! The Messiah is King! A tiny baby, born in a barn was sent for us. 
His mission: to die on a wooden cross and bare all of our sins. 
The greatest fact: HE DID IT FOR YOU! 


Remember the true meaning of Christmas.

"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." Isaiah 6:9

Peace. it calls us to create a Christian community where God is found in the beauty, joy and love of our daily lives. We are given this to allow the Word of God to impact us, live in us and surround us so that we can live joyfully, worshiping God and loving others more effectively.

i noticed JOY in someone today. sometimes you need those kinds of people to show you true joy in your life. these people are there so you catch a glimpse of what someone who personally knows God looks like. to catch on to who Jesus really is right away and simply realize how great we have been bless by His riches and love. 

God is love. 

find your JOY. 

happy.

what is happy? happy is a smile. happy is a song. happy is the birth of a new baby. a wedding. an old picture. happy is a smell. it can be a verse or a poem. it can be a new sweater or a pair of socks. happy is an old dog or a new house. happy makes us sing, makes us dance, makes us laugh. happy is God. happy is love. happy is always there. what makes us happy is what keeps us going. what makes you happy today? what makes you smile? what makes you laugh?

all or nothing.

good morning bloggers. what im talking about today is a phrase i learned while reading a book titled crazy love, written by francis chan. im working through this book in a class that i am taking and each week my eyes are opened to a new light that Jesus shows us. today, we are talking about the phrase all or nothing. if you take time to read through the gospels, take a look at them like you never have before. imagine yourself a new Christian or someone who has never believed before. you will discover (or rediscover) that Jesus wants [all or nothing] from you. if you are going to call yourself Christian, then believe it in your heart and then you must commit to it. the thought of a Christian calling themselves "Christian" without actually being committed to it is not what God wants from us. it isn't necessarily all about reading through the Bible and knowing all the background information, it is KNOWING him/LOVING him. we are also called to believe in His word and then act on it. James 2:17, "faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action is dead." we are called to live vital and active lives of faith. i will end by quoting the author Chan, "true faith means holding nothing back, it bets everything on the hope of eternity."

what is inspiration?

welcome to my blog, glad you are here. there are everyday moments where i am truly blessed by the things around me. it may be little or big. it may be a song or a picture. i have decided to devote a whole blog to the things that inspire me. here is the first one. 

i stumbled across "hello world" by lady antebellum.  here are the lyrics that touched me:

"..oh, the empty disappears, i remember why i'm here. to surrender and believe. i fall down on my knees. hello world..."

there are so many times when we are faced with reality. to truly have a moment and think to yourself about what your life is worth and why you are here. take time today to make sure you have a "me moment." to be able to enjoy life's little things around you. who knows, maybe you will even be INSPIRED :)
